What Is This Boat Watermaker System?

The Boat Watermaker is a marine reverse osmosis desalination system engineered to produce drinking water from seawater under harsh offshore conditions. The system uses high-pressure membrane separation technology to remove salt, bacteria, microorganisms, suspended solids, and dissolved impurities from seawater.

A complete boat desalination system generally includes seawater intake system, pretreatment filtration unit, cartridge filter, high pressure pump, SWRO membrane elements, PLC automatic control system, fresh water flushing system, online TDS monitoring, and freshwater storage tank.

During operation, seawater first enters the pretreatment section where suspended particles and larger contaminants are removed. After filtration, the high-pressure pump increases seawater pressure before entering the SWRO membrane module. The seawater reverse osmosis membrane separates dissolved salts and contaminants, producing high-quality potable water suitable for onboard consumption and industrial marine use.
